NETWORK OF VALENCIA ACADEMIES IN GREECE & CYPRUS

The U12 teams from America, Asia and Europe paraded at the Antonio Puchades in an event that was attended by Hugo Guillamón, Vicente Rodríguez and Miguel Ángel Bossio
With the excitement and nerves of big events. This is how the members of the teams participating in the III VCF Academy World Cup experienced the opening ceremony , which starts this Friday at the Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF and which was launched this Thursday at the Antonio Puchades.

PARADE TO THE RHYTHM OF MUSIC
The teams have been parading one by one through the Antonio Puchades before the attentive gaze of their families who, either present in the stands or through the online broadcast of the event on the Valencia CF website and application, have been able to see the young players proud to represent their respective countries and cities.

TEN TEAMS FROM AMERICA, ASIA AND EUROPE
Teams from Canada, the USA (Houston, Chicago, Seattle), Jordan, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Cyprus and a team from Escoles VCF have paraded with their respective flags with the excitement and desire to start the competition that from this Friday until Sunday will turn the Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF into a great sporting and multicultural festival.

HUGO GUILLAMÓN’S ADVICE…
On the pitch, Hugo Guillamón , a Valencia CF player, trained at the VCF Academy since he was 5 years old and an absolute international with Spain with whom he played the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, was waiting for them. He greeted all the participants and advised them as ambassador of this III VCF Academy World Cup.

“I would tell them to enjoy these tournaments, which are very special , the power of sharing this time with their friends and colleagues. At these ages, the important thing is to have a good time and to have a very nice weekend here in Valencia,” said the midfielder from l’Eliana, who also participated in many similar tournaments as a child.

“I remember when I was little that these tournaments were always exciting, because of the matches, the teammates and the rivals, you always made new friends. I hope you enjoy this opportunity of the III VCF Academy World Cup” concluded Guillamón amid shouts of “Hugo, Hugo” from the participants.
…AND BY VICENTE RODRIGUEZ AND MIGUEL ANGEL BOSSIO
Also present at the event were former players and Club ambassadors Vicente Rodríguez and Miguel Ángel Bossio , both of whom are also full internationals with Spain and Uruguay.
Both are also fathers, in the case of Vicente with his son Sergio, also from U12 like the participants of the VCF Academy World Cup, and who was recently proclaimed champion with the VCF Alevín A of LaLigaFC Futures, a U12 tournament that brings together the 20 LaLiga teams.

“I would tell the players the same thing I told my son: to enjoy themselves and work hard, to make sacrifices, but to have a good time with their teammates. Enjoying and learning would be the summary,” said Vicente Rodríguez , from Punyal de Benicalap, champion with Valencia CF of LaLiga 2001/02, 2003/04, UEFA 2004 and UEFA SuperCup 2004, as well as the Copa del Rey in 2008.

A WELCOMING CLUB
For his part, Miguel Ángel Bossio , who played in the World Cup with Uruguay in 1986, welcomed them to a city like Valencia that welcomed him almost 40 years ago. “I hope you are welcome to the Valencia family, and that you enjoy being part of this great family that is Valencia CF,” he concluded.

TM REAL ESTATE GROUP DRAW
The opening ceremony was completed by TM Grupo Inmobiliario , the main partner of Valencia CF, which raffled off a stay for 6 people in one of its establishments among attendees. The prize went to one of the participants of the VCF Academy in Chicago, who received it from Hugo Guillamón.

The opening ceremony of this III VCF Academy World Cup has finished and now the competition begins, which will take place from Friday to Sunday at the Ciutat Esportiva del Valencia CF, with the grand final on Sunday at 12:30.
